Platform Rating

BuenOnda is rated 17+. Mature content is age-gated and visible only to viewers who declare they are 17 or older. App icons and screenshots remain appropriate for all ages.

What You Can Publish

The following are allowed. Mature categories are age-gated to 17+.

General audienceContent suitable for all ages. No age gate.
Strong languageExplicit language and profanity. Age-gated at 17+.
Mature themesDark, adult, or emotionally heavy subject matter. Age-gated at 17+.
Stylized violenceNon-realistic animated or stylized violence. Age-gated at 17+.
Suggestive (non-explicit)Suggestive content including non-explicit anime and art. Age-gated at 17+.

What Is NEVER Allowed

The following are hard bans. Content matching these categories is automatically rejected and may result in account termination. CSAM is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement immediately.

Sexual content (Apple §1.1.4)

  • Pornography or explicit sexual content of any kind
  • Content primarily used or intended as pornography
  • Sexual objectification of real, identifiable people without documented consent

Child safety (Apple §1.1.4 / NCMEC mandatory reporting)

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
  • Sexual content involving minors — explicit, implied, or illustrated

Hate speech (Apple §1.1.1)

  • Content that attacks or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics

Graphic violence (Apple §1.1.2)

  • Realistic graphic violence, gore, or torture
  • Content glorifying or instructing extreme real-world violence

Illegal content

  • Content that promotes, facilitates, or instructs illegal activity or harm to others

How Moderation Works

Every upload is reviewed before it goes live. No content is publicly visible until it passes moderation.

Our system uses two layers: (1) deterministic hard-ban rules that instantly flag unambiguous violations — running even if AI is unavailable; and (2) an AI classifier that reviews titles, descriptions, and transcripts against the categories above.

ApprovedClean content, publicly visible to all viewers.
Age-gatedMature content (17+). Visible only to viewers who have declared their age.
Needs reviewClassifier confidence too low to auto-decide. Human moderator reviews within 24 hours.
RejectedHard-ban violation. Not published. Creator notified of the category.

Note: the current system moderates metadata and text (title, description, transcripts). Frame-level video analysis for visual content is planned for a future release.

Creator Responsibilities

  1. Accurately label your content. Mature language, themes, violence, or suggestive material must be declared. Mislabeling is a policy violation.
  2. Do not attempt to circumvent moderation. Encoding banned content to evade classifiers is treated as the underlying violation.
  3. You are responsible for third-party content in your uploads. Clips, music, or art must comply with this policy and copyright law.
  4. Violations result in strikes. Multiple strikes may suspend or terminate your account. CSAM results in immediate termination and law-enforcement reporting.
  5. Accept before your first upload. You confirm acceptance at the upload screen. Your acceptance is recorded with the policy version.

Reporting

Use the in-app report button on any video, channel, or applet to flag a violation. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. For urgent abuse or CSAM reports, contact: abuse@[domain — to be set before launch].
